Pastor’s Pen

Grace, Mercy and Peace Be Multiplied Unto You!!!

Mount Pisgah, we bless the name of the Lord for the great things that He has done for us, and with us!

By the grace of the Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, in 2016, we were able to begin our seven-year vision plan of Impacting the World from Central Arkansas. In the following years, God blessed us to win souls to Christ, add new members, build and strengthen the body of Christ spiritually. It is my hope and prayer that we will continue to move forward in 2019.

As the Senior Pastor of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, I want to personally thank everyone: associate ministers, deacons, trustees, ministry leaders, ministries and the entire membership for your prayers, partnership and participation in 2019.  The accomplishments of 2018 were made possible in part because of your commitment, contribution and counsel, to God be the glory.

Although, our hearts are saddened by those saints who have graduated to glory, we look forward to their warm embrace when we are reunited with them in glory. However, as we look forward to another year of worship, work and witnessing in 2019, I want to encourage you to partner with me to move our church to another level in the Lord. Mount Pisgah, God is challenging our church family to raise our commitment, contribution and confidence in 2019.  I’m trusting God to do even greater works in us and through us in this coming year.

Moreover, God is calling us in 2019 to continue to partner with Him in becoming “A Church of I.M.P.A.C.T.: Intercession, Ministry, Proclamation, Assimilation, Celebration and Transformation.  It is God’s Plan for us that we I.M.P.A.C.T. the World from Central Arkansas.  Our overall theme is based on Acts 2:42-47.

In 2015, our church emphasis was to focus on “Prayer and Intercession.”  In 2016-2018, we did not fully reach our potential in the areas of ministry, evangelism, and overall church life.  This was a result of us leaving our first love. Therefore, in 2019, prayer, evangelism, and ministry will continue to be a priority for Mount Pisgah. However, our church emphasis will be “Returning to Your First Love.” In order to reach our goals in 2020, Jesus must become the priority in our lives.

Finally, I pray that as we embrace God’s plan for our lives, He will cause your personal plans to prosper in 2019.

Impacting the Kingdom,

Craig B. Collier Sr., Senior Pastor
