Lewis Bible Studies (June)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Back to School Bash (July)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Support of the Annual Church Picnic (Aug).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Annual Church Revival (Sept)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Annual Youth Fall Fest (Oct)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Annual Thanksgiving Community Outreach (Nov)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~ Christmas Musical (Dec)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christmas Bags &amp; Boxes Preparation (Dec)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>The Mount Pisgah Baptist Church King David Ministry (Men\u2019s Fellowship)<\/strong> <\/span>is anchored in scripture, specifically 1 Peter 2:17 that says <em>\u201cHonour all men.&nbsp; Love the brotherhood.&nbsp; Fear God.&nbsp; Honour the king.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp; It is also anchored in its love of Mount Pisgah, and our pastor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Our Men\u2019s Fellowship is a group of men who enjoy each other\u2019s company<\/strong> <\/span>and work together to achieve common goals, here at the church, or outside of the four walls of the church. &nbsp;The King&#8217;s David Ministry is comprised of fathers, brothers, husbands and friends from all walks of life who bring an incredible wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve amazing things for Mount Pisgah and the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>IMPACT the church and community<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Our ministry supports the vision of the church pastor and participates in numerous activities throughout the year (as seen above).&nbsp; Although the activities often focus on the MPBC family, many of them are also open to the broader Jacksonville community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Some examples include the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The annual Community Out-Reach program, which focuses on spreading the Gospel, and saving lost souls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Church\u2019s annual Picnic event, which is held on the church campus on the 4th Saturday in the month of August. Our ministry plays a significant role in preparing the food, set-up &amp; tear-down of tents, games, and etc. &nbsp;How great is it to have men who cook!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Assist each Ministry of the church in their scheduled services, programs, and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Assist the Youth Ministry in the annual Fall festival, which is in October.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;On some Saturdays through the year, the men sponsor programs for young men.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Mother&#8217;s Day Car Wash (Great event to fellowship with our ladies of the Mount!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Our King David Ministry will be looking to add new activities, such as:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;Attending conferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Schedule Youth bike rides.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Schedule bowling trips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend professional sporting events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Assist shared with the congregation at harvest time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Assist the Computer Information Ministry during class sessions, to name a few.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Membership<\/strong> &#8211;<\/span> The King David Ministry is<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong> open to any male member of the church<\/strong><\/span>.&nbsp; In fact, the fellowship is looking to expand its membership and extends a heartfelt welcome to all men.&nbsp; You are encouraged to come to the meetings, meet \u201cthe guys\u201d and share in the work to make the church and community a better place:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>When<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/span> 1st Tuesday evening of the new month. 6:30 pm for the Executive Staff, and 7:00 pm for the members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Place<\/strong>:<\/span>&nbsp; The Curtis Green Community Life Center on the campus of MPBC<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>If you have questions or just want to talk, feel free to contact Dea.
