Welcome to the MPBC Bereavement Ministry Webpage
In times of loss and uncertainty, it is natural to feel a heaviness of heart and a longing for comfort. Whether you are navigating the sorrow of losing a loved one, watching over someone dear in the hospital, or caring for a sick friend, you are not alone. At Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, we stand with you, offering a compassionate and understanding presence to help ease the weight of your burdens. Our community is rooted in faith and love, providing solace through the words of scripture, the power of prayer, and the warmth of fellowship. Pastor Wendell G. Parker would not have it no other way.
Leading this vital ministry is Sister Marlene McGhee, a beacon of hope and comfort within our church family. As the ministry leader, Sister McGhee oversees a devoted team of eight individuals, each dedicated to the service of comforting and supporting those in their darkest moments. Her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to others fuels our mission, ensuring that no one faces their journey of grief alone. With her guiding hand and the combined efforts of her team, they strive to offer care and empathy to those who need it most.
We invite you to explore our resources, connect with our ministry team, and find a compassionate space where healing can begin. The Bereavement Ministry at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church is here to walk alongside you, offering not only words, but a profound presence, to help you find peace and understanding in these challenging times. May you find solace in knowing that while grief is a personal journey, you are embraced by a community ready to support and uplift you.
